How We Choose Our Suppliers

At Humane Stream, we factor people, animals and the planet into our decision making at every step. Nowhere is this more important than in sourcing the products that will bear our name. Here are the guideposts we’ve established for our suppliers and materials used to make our apparel.

Those who make our products should be lauded, and certainly not exploited. So, we’ll only work with wholesalers who are committed to safe, respectful work environments and appropriate compensation.

We envision a world in which our nonhuman friends are celebrated, and are never treated as commodities. To this end, no Humane Stream merchandise will contain any animal parts, by-products or components. Ever.

We’re focused on keeping our ecological footprint small and tidy. That’s why our shirts and hats are made of 100% organic cotton. This means they weren’t made using synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified seeds, or the like. Our hangtags, thank you cards, boxes, and shipping envelopes are made of recycled materials. Our packing tape is even made with a water-based ink and water-based adhesive. (We were stoked to find this!)

Using the wellbeing of humans, nonhumans and Mother Earth to guide our decisions just makes sense. If that means changing suppliers at some point, we’re all for it. In the end, it’s about doing what’s best for each other and this place we call home.
